We all suffer with procrastination at times. Here are some tips for getting past it. 1. How are you making it harder than it needs to be? What could make it easy? What is the very first step in the project? How could you adjust your expectations to help you get started? 2. How can you make it fun? Can you pair a dreaded activity with a fun one? What about doing the dreaded activity side by side with a friend (who may be working on something else)? 3. Try setting a timer for 10-minutes and work the project only until the timer goes off. Then you are free to stop, keep going, or set the timer for another 5 or 10 minutes. The goal is to make it easy to get past the inertia and just get started!
