Change the Patterns that Limit Your Leadership & Joy

Neuroscience-backed coaching that moves beyond insight into practical, sustainable behavior change.

Coaching Approach and Style

My coaching style is designed for high performing leaders and individuals who value clarity, efficiency, and measurable results. I bring a direct yet grounded presence - calm, kind, and focused on helping you move from insight to meaningful action. We begin by clarifying what you want to change, why it matters, and where the highest-leverage opportunities are.

We use a dual approach: practical skill building to help you achieve your goals, and deeper work to shift the subconscious behavior patterns that can quietly limit your impact.

Skill Building

Clients are often amazed by how simple changes can create an outsized different. Drawing from extensive study and experience coaching more than 500 clients, I help synthesize the clutter of potential strategies and identify the options most likely to make a meaningful difference for you. Then we create action plans you can experiment with, refine, and integrate into your real life.

Subconscious Behavior Patterns

At the same time, we work on the behavior patterns that often show up automatically under stress, such as how you manage conflict, set boundaries, delegate, navigate organizational politics, advocate for your needs, speak to yourself. We work with response patterns such as perfectionism, people-pleasing, avoidance, defensiveness, or indecision.

Results

Through a combination of education and practice, you change these patterns resulting in less reactivity and more intentionality, with greater peace, openness, curiosity, and strategic compassion. The result is stronger decision making, better relationships, improved balance, greater impact, and more joy.

Team Collaboration Meeting

Strengthening Work Life Balance, Teams, Confidence

Case Study: Regional Director, Restaurant Industry

(Name changed to protect confidentiality)

Emily's proven performance put her in line for a VP role. Customers and her team called her all night long 7 days a week, interrupting time with her young daughters and their sports. It was hard to be fully present for work or family. Emily's nerves arose when presenting to the boards of her company and a new acquisition. She wanted to calm her nerves, have her team be self-sufficient, and have work life balance without feeling guilty.

Coaching Focuses: Emotional prep before presenting, delegation, empathy, active listening, boundary setting, self-acceptance.

Outcomes: Promotion, team members supporting each other, clear boundaries with customers, work life balance. "Self acceptance is making a huge difference in how I respond. Even my employees and mother noticed saying 'It seems that in the past this would have worked you up.' In the past I took on everything and was not able to do anything well. This is such a different way of living-in all parts of life. I'm happy and healthy. Everyone needs this. The peace it brings. You accept things for how they are. It has literally transformed how I do everything."

Managing Conflict & Office Politics, Boundary Setting

Case Study: Director of Tax, Consumer Products

(Name changed to protect confidentiality)

Sarah struggled with the office politics stalled initiatives, increasing everyone's frustration. She became reactive, going on the offense. Her new dotted-line boss was very powerful and made last minute requests continually. Sarah loved her job, but stress from the conflicts and inability to control her schedule wore her out.

Coaching Focuses: Mindfulness, quieting judgment, empathy, listening, communication, delegation, boundary setting.

Outcomes: Initiatives progressed, gained control over schedule, delegated instead of saying yes, stopped seeing conflict as political and being reactive to others' strong emotions.  "I love the way talking to Lisa makes so many light bulbs ping in my head! She makes it so easy for me to notice and acknowledge what is going on for me. I've loved how she has brought so many practical tools and tips which has really helped me find things that work for me both in work and home. When I look back on the 6 months I can see such progress and now I feel so much better equipped to maintain and develop it."
