Science of Willpower

We all have areas in life where we wish we were more disciplined. Maybe you wish you spent more time focused on strategy that putting out fires or working on your business instead of in your business. Maybe you wish you were less defensive, more understanding, or said "no" more. Maybe you want to get in shape, lose weight, get more sleep, save more, spend less time on [fill in the blank], get organized, stop procrastinating. The list can go on and on.

During this program you'll discover what makes you lose control and experiment with proven strategies to gain control. You'll walk away having made great progress against an important goal of yours and with more self-awareness and willpower too!

This program is based on the book The Willpower Instinct by Kelly McGonigal, PhD. The book is based on her course at Stanford, which made such an impact that doctors at times prescribed the course for their patients. The course was so popular that it was taught in the largest lecture hall. The book is a fascinating blend of science, case studies and exercises. It's highly entertaining and so full of information that people get more and more out of it each time they read it.

The Science of Willpower program creates the following benefits up and above just reading the book

  •  Individual coaching sessions help frame your goal and provide in depth support so you reach your goal and deepen your understanding of your willpower tendencies.

  • The group format enables the exchange of ideas, a deeper understanding of the concepts, and the encouragement of knowing you're not alone!

  • Discussing the reading clarifies and reinforces concepts.

  • The program structure provides accountability and motivation to keep you focused and an opportunity to reflect in a way that deepens learning.

  • The electronic journal keeps you organized so you can go back and remember what you learned (because there's a lot of information!).
